What is Trakkers?

Trakkers is a GPS device designed for athletes by athletes. Using the device will enable friends and family to follow their athlete online in real time. This makes following an athlete in a race or in training easy! No more wondering where they are out there on the course! Jump online to see their dot moving along the map in real time.

Does it weigh a lot?

No. The Trakkers device is very lightweight, only a few ounces. It clips securely onto your shorts and you barely remember it’s there.

Can I see my stats while I am training or racing?

No. The Trakkers device is not a watch. The device is best explained as a tool for the friends and family of the athlete as opposed to the athlete themselves. Online followers can see the athlete’s stats, and the athlete can view his/her stats after the event/training day, but while in use it is simply a GPS receiving device.

What does it cost to use Trakkers?

Our price points are being determined but it will cost an estimated $30 to rent the device for a race, and the monthly cellular fees associated with rental for longer term. As always, use of a Trakkers device at any REVOLUTION3 Triathlon (www.rev3tri.com) event will always be free! Yippeee!

Can I put the device on my child’s car? I want to be able to see where they’re going!

We LOVE this question at Trakkers! Why is this such a common question among parents! While it’s true that you could, in fact, plant the device on the car of your child, we prefer to market the device as a tool used for athletic competition and its related training. Spying on one’s children is simply a nice ancillary benefit.
