Why Adventure Racing?

I started racing at the age of 7 racing BMX then converted to MTB where he raced junior expert. He attended the University of Tennessee where he began focusing on climbing and kayaking to add to his mountain biking and trail running pursuits. Upon graduation with a BS in Industrial Engineering he spent the next 7 years in the US Air Force as a Civil Engineer and Explosive Ordnance Disposal Officer deploying to Southwest Asia and Iraq twice. He separated from Air Force active duty spring 2009 and is now a project manager for EOD Technology out of Lenoir City, TN.
